Woody's Automotive Group sells more New and used Jeep Wranglers then anyone in Missouri. Why? Because we know Jeeps better then they do. So here's a little info on the revamped 2011 Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep Wrangler and its four-door sibling, the Wrangler Unlimited, are Jeep's best-selling models despite remaining practically unchanged for years. The Wrangler's pure, unfiltered charm and off-road prowess are the reasons it sells so well at Woody's Automotive Group in Chillicothe, MO, just north of Kansas City, just west of St. Louis. For 2011, Jeep has addressed one of the SUV's biggest letdowns by revamping the interior. The new trappings look much sharper and take cues from the new Grand Cherokee. The overall layout is the same, with exposed screw heads and a passenger-side grab handle now bearing a Jeep, Since 1941 but the materials have been thoroughly modernized. The clunky center stack now has a smoother, cleaner layout with chrome-ringed vents and up-to-date climate-control knobs. There's a new three-spoke steering wheel that incorporates cruise and audio controls, and a refreshed instrument cluster. Soft-touch materials appear on the center console (now lockable) and redesigned armrests. Two-tone interiors are now on offer, too, a welcome change from the monotone plastic setup that graced earlier Wranglers Hill Descent Control is now standard on all Wranglers, along with the new instrument panel, center console, front and rear door panels, steering wheel, center stack, and defroster ducts. The soft-top has a 152mm-wider rear window, the door opens wider and has a detent, and power heated mirrors are available. The Freedom Top has larger rear and side windows (145 and 90 mm larger, respectively). The 2011 Wrangler Sport S model has $1,400 in no charge equipment, adding air conditioning, satellite radio, 17-inch Moab-style wheel, tinted windows, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

Additional features include a 110-volt power outlet, optional heated power mirrors, and Bluetooth phone and USB audio connectivity with the upgraded sound system. Jeep says it has added more sound-deadening to keep the interior quieter. The cabin upgrades make the Wrangler's cockpit much more appealing, although traditionalists may decry the dilution of the Jeep's rugged spirit.

You Can get leather Outside, buyers can choose from five additional paint colors: Detonator Yellow, Deep Cherry Red, Sahara Tan, Cosmos Blue, and Bright White. The optional hardtop for Sahara trim levels is now body-colored, for a more cohesive exterior look. It makes the two-door Wrangler look like a Dodge Nitro and the four-door Unlimited model resemble a Mercedes G-class. Production of the new 2011 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited began in August at the Toledo Assembly Complex in Toledo, Ohio.

The following is a 2007 Jeep Wrangler for comparison purposes: 2007-jeep-wrangler-interior-missouri.jpg You can see that the gauges are in the same place, but are much less bold with bright, rounded chrome surrounds replacing the large swaths of dull silver plastic. The separation of digital displays within the gauges has been removed. The center stack is less pronounced and the color is an earth tone consistent with the Wrangler's purpose. The steering wheel now has a chrome ring and audio controls. Shifters are in the same place but have chrome elements and the automatic shifter is now gated. The center stack has the same controls in the same places, it seems, but the elements have the same color as the main dashboard, reducing the emphasis. The speaker grille is not as accentuated and vents have dull silver surrounds. The doors are smoother and not chunky.

The prices are pretty close to the same as the 2010 Jeep Wrangler, the Sport starts at $22,795, Sahara at $27,995, and Rubicon at $29,995; Unlimited Sport goes to $26,295, Unlimited Sahara to $30,695, and Unlimited Rubicon to $33,495.
