Doors will open at 5 p.m. with the silent auction starting at that time. Dinner, which is being fully donated by Hy-Vee, will be served at 6:30 p.m. with the live auction to follow.
Stacy Pope, who serves as the victim service advocate at the shelter, said it takes around $188,000 to operate the shelter in Chillicothe. She said that money raised through the annual benefit helps pay for shelter expenses that are not covered by grant funding and it also helps with travel and training expenses.

The 2nd Annual Wow Woody's Automotive Back To School Backpack Giveaway Fun Day was a huge success! Over 220 kids received backpacks, supplies, gift certificates and had a Super Fun Time eating hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy and running through the Huge Inflatable Obstacle Course! Meet our very
own Robin Hussey, Service Advisor for
Woody's Automotive Group.
Robin is a two time breast cancer survivor. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999, which was later confirmed with a Mammogram. Her kids, Derek was 2½ and Sarah was 5 years old. Robin said, "I kept a positive outlook for my kids because I didn't want to disrupt their lives". In 2009 she was diagnosed again and all in all she's had 17 surgeries. After her last surgery she didn't miss her daughter's softball game the next day. After asking how she got through each day she said, Faith and my kids kept me going".
Today, Robin enjoys every moment with her husband and kids! Derek is now 13 and enjoys many sports. Sarah is 16 years old and also enjoys many activities.
Robin would like to encourage everyone to get a Mammogram, be proactive with self breast exams. If you feel something is wrong no matter what age see your doctor!

Woody's Donates Pontiac Sunfire to Project Prom
Chillicothe High School's SADD chapter is once again providing a Project Prom for prom goers on Saturday, April 17 following prom. The Project Prom will be held at The Fast Lane Family Entertainment Center from midnight until 4 a.m.
This year's senior grand prize at Project Prom is a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire. This car was donated by Brent Kline of Woody's Automotive Group.
Project Prom is put on annually to provide a safe, alcohol and drug free environment for all CHS juniors and seniors and their dates.
